Subsonic is a multimedia and music project capturing the fragile environs of Antarctica. It was initiated by Frances Evans, a Melbourne based Musician , who travelled to Antarctica as part of an arts fellowship. She recorded the sounds and sights and composed music in response to the epic natural environment at the bottom of the world. She has brought together a group of visual/ media artists and classical musicians to collaborate and produce a dvd/ performance to be released late August

It deals with themes of isolation , tribulation and captures serene and forbodding beauty on the sea , air and ice. It attempts to depict the conflict between powerful environments resistant to change but intrinsically linked within human conquest and activities.

Heres a snippet of video called Ghost Ballace that will be part of the final performance.
