Growing Culture
July 13, 2008
There seems to be no shortage of edible gardening initiatives worldwide , in fact , I think its becoming a strong trend , possibly trendy and quite possibly very trendy.
This guy Fritz Haeg rocks the world. He not only has great design sense he understands how to actually work with ‘humans’ , yes ‘humans’. Those living things that walk on two legs and look in mirrors. Often people with high levels of technical proficiency lack that human touch but this guy has it by the bucketload. Love it. Art Culture Design Sustainability Performance nexus a rama. What a dude!!
These guys rock as well. Seriously. they give that kind of rock star feel to a simple wicking device. I learnt about how to do it very quickly. In fact I have already made one by the time I had finsihed watching it. Great use of music and nice design.
Adidas sponsors Guerilla Gardening campaign
I’m not joking. Even the corporates are getting into it. All the way back in the 80’s when Adidas sponsoring Run DMC to wear their sneakers, Adidas have jumped on board the green bandwagon and a snavelling up previously underground activites to market their shoes. All good though .. the more the merrier. In fact I think they should bring out a work boot style sneaker that has great traction that can scratch up dirt like a chicken.
Simply: Dig Eat Live . Just do it.
